Well we got really lucky this year, just when the forecast was for a Cloudy overcast sky with medium temperatures, they got it completely wrong and we had nonstop sunshine, no wind and some great golf.
Fiercely competitive for the 4th year running, with reduced handicaps , 3/4 Stableford we still managed to come up with some outrageous scoring , but it has to be said there was some impressive golf being played.
So we had our first Back to Back winner of the individual trophy, congratulations to Phil Greenwood who managed 42 points off a 14 handicap, duly noted for next year, closely followed by Ollie Carpenter in his first competition with a creditable 41 points.
Team prize went to Team Lafayette, pictures below with a fantastic score and just pipped Aylesbury and Chiltern.
With a Nearest the Pin award that went to Lee Stevens, I suspect he was disappointed with the trophy as it was that close he must have preferred a Hole in One, with Richard Biss storming the Longest Drive by nearly driving the green on the 14th.
Yellow ball competition was surprisingly competitive and 3 teams managed to return with their Yellow ball and Aylesbury and Chiltern came out tops, thanks once again to all who helped and competed , much money raised that will go straight out to Kwa Zulu for our projects.
Congratulations to all the winners, see you next year
